Paul Simon 1941년 미국 뉴저지 뉴와크 출신으로 1956년 Art Garfunkel과 듀엣 Simon & Garfunkel을 결성하여 전세계적인 유명세을 탔다. 1970년 Garfunkel과 헤어져 솔로로 독립한 그는 솔로로도 13장의 정규앨범을 발표하였다.
