King Crimson / Epitaph (1969)

 

1969년 Robert Fripp과 Ian McDonald 중심으로 영국에서 결성되었으며,
The Moody Blues와 같이 멜로트론을 활용함으로서 웅장한
분위기의 Symphonic Rock를 구사하고 있는데 과연 Moody Blues, Procol Harum,
King Crimson외에는 60년대에 이런 연주를 할수 있는 그룹이 있었을까?
"Epitaph"은 묵시론적 이미지로 가득 찬 노래로서 1969년 발표된 King Crimson의 데뷰앨범

 

In the Court of the Crimson King에 수록된 곡이다.

 

그들의 자작곡으로 훗날 "Emerson, Lake & Palmer"를 결성하는 Greg Lake가 리드보컬을 맡고 있다
