팝 반세기사 / 1966년 97위~98위

 

1966년 베스트 98위 Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass / Zorba the Greek   Herbert "Herb" Alpert 1935년 미국 캘리포니아 LA에서 태어난 트럼펫 연주자겸 작곡자로 Jerry Moss와 A&M Records사를 설립하여 운영하기도 하였다. The Lonely Bull, A Taste of Honey, This Guy's in Love with You, Rise, Diamonds등의 히트곡을 남겼다.     Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass / Zorba the Greek Giorgis Koutsourelis가 작곡한 크레타 가요 "Armenohorianos Syrtos"와 "Kritiko syrtaki"를 편곡하여 그리스 작곡가인 Mikis Theodorakis가 작곡하여 1964년도 영화 Zorba the Greek에 삽입된 곡이다. 1965년에 Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass에 의해 리메이크 되어 빌보드 챠트 11위에 올랐다.

 

 

1966년 베스트 97위 Paul Revere & the Raiders / Hungry 오르갠 연주자인 Paul Revere Dick이 중심이 되어 미국 Idaho주에서 결성된 락 그룹으로 Hungry (1966), Him Or Me – What's It Gonna Be? (1967), Indian Reservation (1971)등의 곡을 히트 시켰다.     Paul Revere & the Raiders / Hungry부부 작사 작곡팀인 Barry Mann과 Cynthia Weil의 곡으로Paul Revere & the Raiders에 의해 발표되어 빌보드 챠트6위에 올랐다.
