미국의 전통 민요로 특히 미국 남부에서 가장 많이 불리우던 곡이다. 밴죠와 fiddle (바이올린)
연주로 남부의 라인댄스 곡으로도 많이 사용되는 곡이다. 곡목은 Cotton Eye Joe 또는
Cotton Eyed Joe 모두 혼용되고 있다.
