1980년 Wales에서 태어난 Mezzo Soprano이자 Crossover 가수인 Katherine Jenkins는 10세때부터 합창단원으로 활동하며 Wales 국립 합창단원으로도 활동하였으며 17세때 국립 음대인 Royal Academy of Music에 장학생으로 입학하였다.

졸업후 음악 선생으로 그리고 한때 모델로도 활동하던 그녀는

2004년 'Premiere' 앨범으로 발표하며 crossover 가수로 데뷰하여 2008년까지 총 7장의 앨범을

발표하였는데 그중 6장이 영국 클래식 앨범 챠트 1위를 차지하며 신인시절부터 각광을 받았다.
